Dunlop hoping to let Snow Fairy take her chance in the Desert

At Meydan last week Ed Dunlop remained tight-lipped and noncommittal to Snow Fairy's chances of coming to Dubai or even which race she may contest. However after a pleasing piece of work on Sunday Snow Fairy’s trainer Ed Dunlop in now much more enthusiastic to run his superstar filly on the Dubai World Cup card. He remains undecided as to Snow Fairy’s aim and she has options in the Dubai World Cup, the Sheema Classic or the Dubai Duty Free. Dunlop has now given provisional approval for the four time Group 1 winner to chase further Group 1 glory at Meydan.

Following the workout in Newmarket Dunlop said: "We were pleased with the way she went and we are now much more likely to go to Dubai than we were two weeks ago.” However as throughout the filly’s preparation Dunlop still remains cautious to commit fully: “As long as everything remains okay she would go out to Dubai in the second week of March, but no decision has been made about which race she will go for. We will watch all the trials and see how she trains and then select a race."

Snow Fairy remains one of the most fancied horses in international markets for the Dubai World Cup and would be a welcome addition to the already high class card that is taking shape. Dunlop is a master of training these fillies and Ouja Board set the blueprint for his handling of these international stars globetrotting.
